The boat Suzette Allen talked about in this post out of her archives, is so popular I was able to find it on the Adobe Stock site I use regularly for illustrations.

It’s a very short post, jam-packed with something to think about – never give up.

Coming out of the pandemic, all of us had to make adjustments in our lives. Most of you had to scale back on your business, and many of you had your professional careers as revenue-producing artists put entirely on hold.

But here’s what I love about our industry and Suzette’s post – most of you never gave up. You used the downtime to catch up on your skills, reading, and education. Now, on the backside of the pandemic, you’re stronger than ever because you stayed focused on your love for the craft.

And if you’re worried because life became so frustrating, and you really did give up – that flame of inspiration created by your passion for imaging never goes away. Now’s the time to ramp things back up and grow your business back to what it was and beyond!

TRY AGAIN TWO….
I was a painter in my former life and I painted this image of the Try Again, in Homer, Alaska in 1981!

So, 36 years later, the image of the shipwreck in Point Reyes, CA, a popular tourist spot, speaks so much more to me. I painted this image for my mom and it has hung in her house for over 30 years…ever reminding us to not give up, but to continually TRY AGAIN, no matter what lies before us in life!

Besides being a beautiful spot and a classic image of a beached boat, it holds a lifetime of memories and moments, ever reminding us to Try, Try Again and Never Give Up!
