I just love “The Bishop’s Wife” with CAry Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven. A classic because Cary Grant is indeed the perfect angel!

Your poll got me interested in other blog lists of top-grossing Christmas movies, so I Goggled a bunch. Lots of disagreement among these lists, and most were 3-years old . . . but interesting. I liked this one because of the trailers: http://www.stuff.co.nz/enterta
Then I got interested in the big bunch of films opening between this week and next, so I checked http://www.rottentomatoes.com/. Can’t wait to see War Horse and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Happy Movie Watching!

While I love A Christmas Story and It’s a Wonderful Life my favorite is a little-known gem entitled Amahl and the Night Visitors. I have the CD soundtrack and the video on both VHS and DVD. It was first broadcast on live TV in 1951 and is a fabulous telling of a story that encapsulates the true meaning of Christmas. Plus, you forgot White Christmas.

A Muppet Christmas Carol! You have everything in that movie! Humor, singing, animation and best of all . . . a wonderful message. That said, I still watch the 24 hours of A Christmas Story. The “Old Man” reminds me of my dad.

It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story I have to watch every year. Every time a bell rings an angel gets it’s wings. Your going to shoot your eye out…

“The Muppet Christmas Carol” Yes, I know I’m probably the only one voting for this one. But it’s my favorite.

The Polar Express is pretty awesome. I saw it originally at the IMax in 3D. It was a digital movie shown via a digital projector. It doesn’t get any better then that!! “It’s a Wonderful Life” is also great as an older classic.

While I LOVE A Christmas Story and It’s a Wondeful Life, ELF really brings home much needed humor at this time of year. I love smiling. Smiling’s my favorite!

I’m a “Christmas Vacation” fan. Something about pumping out the contents of your motor home’s toilet into the city storm sewer just says “Happy Holidays”.
